Nan Oldroyd is the Director, Talent Management at George Brown College where she is accountable for establishing a Talent Management Centre of expertise to support 4,000 staff who provide outstanding education to 100,000 registrants. Previously, she was a Vice-President, Human Resources at Loblaw Companies Limited, where she led HR strategy for two divisions ($16B revenue, 500 locations, 33,000 employees). Prior to that, she was a Senior Director there who led talent management nationally for this $30B organization. In the past, Nan has held increasingly progressive roles at companies with revenue up to $5B, as many as 2,800 sites and up to 25,000 employees (Toys R Us, Costco Wholesale, Tim Horton’s and The Home Depot). Nan is an active member of The Stop Community Food Centre’s Board of Directors and HRPA’s HR Professional Magazine Editorial Advisory Board. She has also been a Judge for the Canadian HR Awards for the past 2 years. Nan has her Master’s degree in Work, Organization and Leadership, as well as her Certified Human Resources Executive designation. She has received recognition for her leadership including winning HRPA’s first ever Outstanding Senior Human Resources Professional Award, receiving a Loblaw Companies Limited President’s Award, being named a Diversity Champion by Women of Influence and being selected as a DiverseCity Fellow by CivicAction
