Nan Oldroyd joined the AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario) in 2018 as Chief, People, with the responsibility of providing impactful Human Resources solutions that attract, engage and develop AGO employees and volunteers. She partners across the AGO to foster an inclusive, engaging environment that enables employees and volunteers to deliver exceptional service to the art museum’s audiences and communities.


 Prior to joining the AGO, Nan was Director of Talent Management at George Brown College. Before that, at Loblaw Companies Limited Nan was Vice-President of Human Resources, where she partnered with clients to support 33,000 employees across 500+ locations, and Senior Director of Talent, where she led talent management nationally for a $30B organization. Nan has held increasingly progressive roles at companies including Toys R Us, Costco Wholesale, Tim Horton’s and The Home Depot.


 Nan holds a Master’s degree in Work, Organization and Leadership and her Certified Human Resources Executive (CHRE) designation. Nan has been recognized with the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA)’s Outstanding Senior Human Resources Professional Award and been named a Diversity Champion by Women of Influence. Nan is a member of HRPA’s HR Professional Magazine Editorial Advisory Board, a judge for the Canadian HR Awards and a Special Advisor to CivicAction’s Escalator: Jobs for Youth Facing Barriers initiative.
